There is just 1 day left in the 2025 Read-a-thon!

We still have a long way to go for our donation goal of $10,000. But our A.R.E. students are crushing the 20,000-minute reading goal!

Yesterday we passed 10,000 minutes, which means Mrs. Petire was out front in an inflatable costume for drop off AND pick up today!

Since we have met the 16,000 minute reading goal tomorrow, Mrs. Petrie and Bolt will be serving lunch!

Keep logging those minutes and encourage classmates to log minutes too. Today Mrs. Campbell, Mrs. Cordes, Mrs. Masters and Mrs. Lambert's classes all hit 80% participation and will receive goodie bags tomorrow! We still have 8 classes that have not reached 80%!!

Minutes can be logged using the link sent home in Parent Square.
Minutes logged through Friday evening will count towards our goals!

Donations will remain open through the weekend! Be sure to share with family and friends the amazing goals that our students have achieved as you seek donations.

We hit our 6,000 minutes so Mrs. Petrie showed up in her Inflatable costume for Drop off this morning!

The kids were so excited, you could hear their squeals of excitement! We have also reached 10,000 minutes so keep an eye out for Mrs. Petrie at Pick up too!!

Great job Alberta Rider! Keep logging those minutes!

What a day Alberta Rider! At the end of the school day we were at 9,551 minutes but we are now at 13,679 minutes! AMAZING job Alberta Rider families! See if you can spot Mrs. Perite in an inflatable costume at drop off AND pick up!

We have 3 classes that have reached 80% participation, Ms. Sy, Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Berkowitz classes! Several other classes need only 3 or 4 more students to log minutes to hit 80%!

There are also trophies and class parties up for grabs! The class in each grade with the most logged minutes will get the Read-a-Thon trophy and a class party!

Our first set of Read-a-Thon goodie bags has been delivered!

Ms. Sy's first-grade class is the first to reach 80% participation in the Read-a-thon! This means that 80% of students in that class have logged at least 5 minutes. Great Job Ms. Sy's class!

We hope to see every class at Alberta Rider hit 80%! All minutes read at school and at home this week count, as well as the Read-aloud minutes. Check out our YouTube to see the read-aloud videos!

The Read-a-thon is HERE!

As a school, we are working to read 20,000 minutes this week! This breaks down to about 11 munites per student per day!

We also have a goal to raise $10,000. There are lots of great incentives for both reading and donations. We have already hit our first incentive goal of 2,000 minutes earning a Bubble Recess for the whole school.

Families can log minutes using the Google form that has been sent out via Parent Square and on the minute tracker students brought home!

to help students get those minutes we will post a new read-aloud video every day on our YouTube, make sure you check them out, and log those minutes! Our YouTube is linked in our Bio

Donations can be made online directly using the link in our Bio
Cash or check donations can be dropped off at the school.

With a $50 donation, you can add your family name to the Community Partner wall!

We are so excited to see how many minutes the students can read this week! Let's read A.R.E.!

That’s a wrap on the spring scholastic #bookfair! We can not thank you enough for your support!

With your support we were able to make sure each student was able to leave the bookfair with something.

We also were able to purchase teachers the books they had left in their wish boxes! Providing new books to EVERY class at A.R.E.!

Next up Read-A-Thon, so get those new books ready! We have a big reading goal to reach next week!

Get your books ready A.R.E. - Read-a-Thon starts next week!

What is Read-a-Thon? It is a school-wide, week-long reading and fundraising event!

Students are encouraged to read and log their minutes, as well as collect donations from family, friends, and the community. This is the final school-wide fundraiser of the school year. The funds raised are used for programs and activities such as field trips, reading aids, school supply support, teacher and staff appreciation, classroom grants, and much more!

There are school-wide prizes as we reach our reading and fundraising goals!
As a school, we will attempt to read 20,000 minutes over the 5 days! We also hope to raise $10,000. Incentives will be revealed on Friday (3/7)

There are class trophies for the class in each grade that reads the most minutes. When a class reaches 80% reading participation the each student will get a prize!

Every day there will be a read-aloud video for students to watch that counts as reading minutes, they will be posted on our YouTube! (link in our Bio)

Families will log minutes using a Google forum which will be sent home via Parent Square!

Donations can be made by check, or cash dropped off at the school or sent with your student or using a credit/debit card using the link in our Bio!
